Cary JustmannI am very excited to start the 2019-20 school year, and to welcome nearly 2,200 students and 180 staff to the halls of Waukee High School, which is the second largest high school in the state of Iowa.

I will be starting my 25th year in education. I have worked in the Washington (IA), Ottumwa, Ames and Dallas Center-Grimes districts prior to becoming a Warrior.

My wife, Lara, is an elementary principal at Karen Acres Elementary in the Urbandale School District, and my step-daughter, Hannah, recently graduated from the University of Northern Iowa.

We are very proud of all that Waukee High School has to offer our students. We have accomplished great things in our various activities – winning the Bank Iowa Cup for the last three years that they gave the award, which celebrates the accomplishments of our activities and academic achievement scores. We also have won the Des Moines Register All-Sports trophy the last three years. It’s great to be a Warrior!
